Sekondo in Illustrator

AI for Illustrator that builds inside your file.

Sekondo connects Claude or ChatGPT to Illustrator. You give it your material and your instructions, and your assistant builds it in your file: artboards, paths and styles you can edit.

What Sekondo does in Illustrator.

It learns from you, and this is just a sample. If Illustrator can do it, Sekondo does it.

  • Builds a brand manual from scratch: chapter openers, symbol, colour, type, applications and use.
  • Measures the grid over the symbol and draws its clear space.
  • Takes the palette, with its codes, from the material you give it or from the client’s own photos.
  • Rebuilds the paragraph and character styles of a document that did not have them, and applies them.
  • Changes the typeface of a whole document, compensating the type size so it does not look as if everything has shrunk.
  • Places the logo versions and lays out the misuse page.
  • Vectorises a JPG logo into paths, with their layers.
  • Adapts an ad to every format: one artboard per format, with its size in the name, its guides and its safe zones.
  • Cleans up and groups the swatches and sorts the layers.
  • Orders the artboards so the PDF comes out in reading order.
  • Translates the copy into more than thirty languages, corrects the grammar and improves the wording, and refits it to its frame.
  • Places elements in grids, circles and other patterns.
  • Finds and replaces colours across the whole document.
  • Randomly varies the size, colour, position and rotation of elements.
  • Creates, renames, moves, scales and duplicates artboards.
  • Groups, brings forward and sends backward, and creates clipping masks.
  • Aligns and distributes objects.
  • Fills a template with the data from a CSV.
  • Renames layers by what they contain or with numbering.
  • Exports all the artboards, the selection or an object to PNG, JPEG, SVG or PDF.

How to brief it.

Like someone who just walked into the studio: it knows Illustrator and knows nothing about your client. You tell it which document, what you want and the judgement to apply. Before touching anything it reads the whole thing, and when it is done it tells you what has changed. In Illustrator one command can be several undo steps, because Illustrator does not let them be grouped: save before a big job and ask for it in pieces.

It works on your computer, with your Claude or your ChatGPT. The file never leaves your machine.

Frequently asked questions about Sekondo in Illustrator.

Why is one Cmd+Z not enough in Illustrator?

Because Illustrator does not let the history be grouped: there one Sekondo command can be several undo steps. In the other five apps, one command is a single Cmd+Z. Save before a big job and ask for it in pieces.

Does it leave me paths or an image?

Paths, with their layers. Everything it does is a normal Illustrator file, editable like any other.

Does it make up the brand colours?

No. It takes the palette from the material you give it, with its codes. And where the call is not its to make, it leaves you a note so you can settle it.

Does it work with Claude and with ChatGPT?

Both. With Claude desktop and with ChatGPT through Codex, the assistant inside its desktop app, not ChatGPT in the browser. You use your own subscription.

Does my file get uploaded anywhere?

Not to us: Sekondo never stores your files on any server. The bridge runs on your computer and talks to your Adobe app locally. To work, your assistant has to read: whatever it needs - text, measurements, sometimes a screenshot - travels to the assistant you chose. Never the file.
